Briefing

The topic of our project was scrollytelling which means telling a story through scrolling. So we had to created a page which would tell a story or explain something about the topic of our choice.

Because I'm interested in architecture and fascinated about the extraordinary buildings of Oscar Niemeyer I decided to create a biography-page about him.

Process

Once Oscar Niemeyer said that his work generally is not about «form  follows function» but «form follows beauty». This was because he was highly inspired by his surroundings like the sea and the mountains of rio and he thought that his architecture should reflect that. So I took his style and the country as an inspiration and created for the screen design organic forms. For the scrolling experience I decided to let the typography flow into the screen and follow the organic forms.

In Figma I designed all the pages based on the information-research, the storyboard, the wireframes and the styleguide I initially did for this case. Because at that time I really wanted to try out webflow I created the prototype with it.
